To successfully pass the US CMA Exam, a candidate needs to achieve a pass rate of 72% for each part, equating to earning a minimum of 360 out of 500 points.
The CMA USA Syllabus consists of two parts:
In Part 1, candidates need to understand financial statement requirements, components, categories, benefits, drawbacks, and consequences. They should also grasp assertion needs, their relationships, and preparation methods. Additionally, candidates should distinguish financial and operating leases, identify capital transactions, and comprehend GAAP and IFRS differences. Part 1 is divided into budgeting and financial planning, involving calculations and some conceptual challenges.
Part 2 focuses on financial statement analysis, corporate finance, decision analysis, risk management, investment decisions, and professional ethics.
